A Taste of Port, a village of diversity
Along the Susquehanna river, Port Deposit's restaurants and eateries are known for their food, atmosphere
and hospitality. Located at the head of the Chesapeake Bay,
seafood and other bounties of the area are a local treat served up for you .
Fresh oysters, Maryland steamed crabs and rock fish are but a few. If seafood is
not your taste today, you can find French, Italian and other fine cuisines
besides local home cooking.

Port Deposit was first settled in 1734.
Nestled along the Susquehanna river, steeped in nature, it is a village surrounded by Granite cliffs and state parks on three
side. Natural beauty abound, she faces the river and the daytime sun. It is
not uncommon to see bald eagles fly overhead or the splash of fish swimming
upriver in a migratory spawn
From the early revolutionary American atmosphere and
the fine cuisine of the
Union Hotel (up river), to the Restaurants, Pubs and Taverns that surround
old Port town center. Port Deposit will take you back in time to more
relaxed pace.
Blue Grass
Live music, local pickers and fiddlers mix it up with informal jam
session most every Saturday and Sunday. Saturday evenings at Winchester's and
Sunday's at CM Tugs.
River View Dining
Most anywhere go in Port you can enjoy river view dining. Whether by car, bike or boat. Port Deposit can accommodate.
